In a heart-wrenching twist of fate, a health assistant, solely identified as Victoria, tragically took her own life within a medical center in the Surulere area of Lagos state on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
The Surulere Police Division was alerted by the Medical Director of the health center, who reported Victoria’s absence from her duty post on that fateful day.
Concerns deepened when attempts to reach Victoria proved futile, and her phone was discovered ringing within a room on the hospital premises. Alarmed, the medical director sought the assistance of a carpenter to forcibly open the door, unveiling the lifeless body of Victoria on the bed.
