The Foo Fighters are set to be putting their music career on ‘indefinite hiatus’ following the bombshell discovery that lead vocalist Dave Grohl fathered a kid outside of his marriage.
The 55 years old, the former Nirvana drummer said that he had a baby with an anonymous lady after being married to actress and film producer Jordyn Blum, 48, since 2003.
Despite his infidelity, Dave Grohl is determined to gain his family’s trust, even if it comes at a high cost, so the Foo Fighters will take a break as he deals with his serious personal issues.
The group canceled a scheduled concert at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with only three days notice.
They were scheduled to headline Sunday night, however on Thursday, they announced via X that “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival.” Please visit the festival’s website for further information.”
This performance would have been their last for a while if it had happened. However, insiders suggest the band is ready to take a break. According to a source, “The band needs time to be with their families and focus on regrouping.” A source told The Sun.

The insider added: “It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave’s mum and now the birth of his new child. He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family.” The source said that a hiatus is the best thing for the band “collectively”.
Dave Grohl, often hailed as rock’s ‘nice guy’, left fans stunned with his recent announcement. He posted on social media: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re all grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
While Dave’s shocking announcement shook the public, insiders were not concerned. A source told People Magazine, “We keep reading over and over again how heartbroken everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the ‘good guy’, the rockstar that didn’t have to do those rockstar things. And people are crazy about the guy, but there is a rockstar side.”
